Validation of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) based on the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF): A pilot study

Fieldwork education is an integral part of the educational process in occupational therapy and assessing student competency at end fieldwork important. The aim this study was to design conduct Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) based on Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) for students Level II Iran. A seven-station OSCE designed conducted with 13 students. Face content validity exam scenarios grading checklists assessed via faculty review. correlation between scores from each station total were obtained assess construct validity. Inter-rater reliability two independent examiners determined. participants’ (including both examiners) reactions learning using a self-report questionnaire that included participants' attitudes, satisfaction, emotional response OSCE. Finally, focus group 12 examine strengths weaknesses exam. It ascertained had good acceptable face, content, as well inter-examiner reliability. All reported stressful, most (n=8, 61%) (n=5, 42%) there not enough time station. Strength related condition, students, reported. Based qualitative quantitative analysis results, order use method evaluating some changes should be applied.
